[When you get home from work and classes on Monday, you may notice something is different about your back yard.

It might be that it now looks like someone redecorated it with unicorn blood and fur.

Most of the flesh and bones are missing.

Whoever did this enjoyed their work, far too much

They even did some finger painting of the happy family with the blood.]

That horn might look familiar.

He is muttering and chanting, waving his hands in the air, and getting frustrated.]

[Mika looks up when she hears Black Mage's voice on her way home from work, her ears flicking forward as she frowns a bit at what she hears. Her grip on her cane shifts a bit, and she peers at him, only to stop and stare.

The staring turns to open horror.

Which quickly leads to screaming.

There are only so many unicorns in this town and she is fairly certain she knows exactly where that horn came from, which is why she is screaming so loudly.]

[Dash was heading back home when she sees Black Mage.

The horn she notices almost immediately, and as she goes to open her mouth she notices who said horn belongs to.

That's Rarity's horn.

Dash can't help but stare at horror, before looking absolutely enraged.]

[This would sound much more menacing if she wasn't limping and relying heavily on a cane to move, considering how close she looks to frothing at the mouth in pure rage.

[Mika unfortunately has no protection against magic, her stuttering scream almost as loud as her initial one had been. Hair frizzles instantly, skin and fur scorching around her earrings and the metal buckles on her shoes, and the smell of burning cotton and polyester is thick in the air as her cane flies out of her hand and she collapses in a heap, already foaming at the mouth.

Very easy pickings.]

[this is a really bad time to take the shortcut home, isn't it?

at first, Kaz isn't quite sure what's going on. he's walking down the sidewalk on his way home from school, carrying his jacket over his shoulder as he takes his time. he can hear two voices up ahead - one of them softer and very familiar - which lends him pause. if it's Mika, she sure sounds upset, which isn't what he's used to. the girl seems so softspoken and quiet that an outburst like that is actually kind of scary...

regardless, he's curious now and decides to check out what's happening. he rounds the corner just as BM's eyes start glowing.

[he drops his jacket, not at all thinking straight as he runs to Mika. she's in sorry shape right now and he doesn't want to think what might happen if she gets hit with - with whatever those beams are. grabbing her by the shoulders, he yanks her up and away, pulling her harshly off to the side.]
