at first, Kaz isn't quite sure what's going on. he's walking down the sidewalk on his way home from school, carrying his jacket over his shoulder as he takes his time. he can hear two voices up ahead - one of them softer and very familiar - which lends him pause. if it's Mika, she sure sounds upset, which isn't what he's used to. the girl seems so softspoken and quiet that an outburst like that is actually kind of scary...
regardless, he's curious now and decides to check out what's happening. he rounds the corner just as BM's eyes start glowing.
